Over 600 collectors, including women and youth, are incentivized to gather recyclable materials, making waste collection both an environmental and economic activity.
This provides an economic incentive for participants, encouraging widespread collection of recyclable waste.
Once trash is purchased, it is transported to the aggregation hub, where it is carefully sorted into categories such as plastics, paper, and metals.
Recyclable materials are transported to Lusaka, where they undergo further processing and recycling.
